Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to lead the financial management and performance of our insurance and investment businesses. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, Investment, Actuarial, Risk and Business leadership teams, you will provide accurate financial insight and ensure strong governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day finance function, translating business objectives into financial plans, budgets and performance targets.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and variance analysis.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accurate management accounts, consolidated statements and statutory disclosures.
• Direct insurance finance activities, monitoring premiums, claims, reserves and underwriting performance in collaboration with Actuarial and Underwriting teams.
• Supervise investment finance and accounting, tracking investment income, gains/losses and portfolio performance while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Control treasury and cash management, overseeing liquidity, banking relationships, funding requirements and exposure to interest‑rate and FX risks.
• Support capital planning and solvency monitoring, assisting the CFO with balance‑sheet management and regulatory capital requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably within insurance or investment environments.
• Strong commercial focus with the ability to translate strategic objectives into financial actions.
• Proven track record of delivering accurate financial reporting and effective financial controls.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional senior teams.
