Executive Director

About the role

The Executive Director is a full‑time, on‑site senior leader responsible for the overall performance of a busy urban clinic in Santo Domingo. This role drives strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, and fosters a culture focused on high‑quality patient care and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall clinic operations, strategy and performance, ensuring compliance with Dominican Republic healthcare regulations.
• Lead and coordinate administrative, support and medical teams, optimizing workflows and cross‑departmental collaboration.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgeting, financial performance and monitor key operational metrics.
• Maintain external partnerships, report outcomes to ownership or governing bodies, and drive organizational change initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and management experience in healthcare or a comparable service‑oriented environment.
• Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, financial oversight and data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to organize cross‑functional teams, optimize processes and manage change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
• Solid understanding of local healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree considered an asset.
