Data Engineer – Cloud & SaaS Platform

About the role

The Data Engineer will design and operate data ingestion pipelines that feed Origami’s multi‑tenant SaaS platform. You will modernise legacy C# .NET processes by building scalable, cloud‑native solutions on AWS and ensure data moves smoothly into our Databricks analytics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ingestion pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Glue and Step Functions.
• Build APIs and file‑upload mechanisms for client data ingestion.
• Develop data mapping and transformation workflows to load data into SQL Server client databases.
• Contribute to a lakehouse architecture on Databricks, enabling seamless data flow from the SaaS platform to analytical workloads.
• Optimise ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Provide operational support and troubleshoot existing C# .NET ingestion processes.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and product teams to align data solutions with business needs.
• Implement data‑governance, security and compliance best practices in a multi‑tenant environment.
• Document architecture, workflows and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the Dominican Republic.
