About the role

We are looking for a senior, analytical and proactive accountant to join the finance team of one of our clients in Santo Domingo. The professional will be responsible for overseeing accounting, tax compliance and audit activities while providing leadership to junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accurate tax filings and compliance with Dominican tax legislation.
• Conduct internal and external audits and follow‑up on findings.
• Manage fiscal receipts (NCF/e‑CF) and related documentation.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software for data analysis.
• Lead and mentor junior accountants, fostering a proactive work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Exequatur required).
• Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in accounting, tax or audit roles.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas).
• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of Dominican tax law and fiscal receipt handling (NCF/e‑CF).
