Buyer Planner II - Supply Chain

About the role

Medtronic is hiring a Buyer Planner II in the Dominican Republic, within its Supply Chain function, which ensures material availability for manufacturing, customer demand and inventory objectives. The role balances supply and demand, manages supplier performance and supports operational and service level goals. It follows a flex work arrangement, with travel of up to 10% possible for supplier engagement, business meetings, training and operational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute material purchases to meet production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and take action to maintain target inventory and service metrics.
• Manage supplier relationships to secure on-time delivery, availability and issue resolution.
• Analyze demand, supply and inventory data to identify risks and act on them.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, logistics and sourcing teams.
• Maintain planning parameters, purchase orders and material master data in enterprise systems.
• Help resolve supplier shortages, delivery delays and material escalations.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, procurement, manufacturing or related operations.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Preferred: experience in regulated manufacturing (medical devices, pharma, biotech), SAP or MRP knowledge, CPIM or similar certification.
