Business Development Manager – Caribbean Region

About the role

Mercer, a Marsh business, is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across the Caribbean region. Based in Santo Domingo, this hybrid role combines office collaboration with strategic field work.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the Caribbean.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Lead business development initiatives from prospecting through closing.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Track and report on business development metrics, pipelines, and revenue forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in business development, sales or management consulting.
• Proven track record of developing new businesses and building client relationships.
• Advanced English proficiency and strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Experience in professional services, consulting or advisory sectors is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Caribbean market dynamics and business environment.
