Accounting Assistant – Cabarete

About the role

Biz-Dev Holdings, a growing company in the Dominican Republic, is looking for an organized and detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support its accounting and administrative operations. The role involves accurate transaction recording, document management, and assistance with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Record invoices, expenses, revenues, payments and other accounting transactions.
• Manage and organize both physical and digital accounting documentation.
• Follow up on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with bank reconciliations.
• Verify invoices, NCF and supporting documents.
• Support the preparation of information for tax and administrative processes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier and client records.
• Help prepare accounting and administrative reports.
• Identify inconsistencies in records and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide general support to the finance/administration team as needed.

Required profile

• Student near graduation or graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in an accounting assistant or similar role.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Understanding of NCF, ITBIS and tax withholdings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work responsibly, independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency with Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
