Account Executive – Core Diagnostics (Caribbean)

About the role

The Account Executive will lead strategic sales for Abbott's Core Diagnostics division across the Caribbean region, based in Santo Domingo. The role focuses on expanding existing direct and distributor accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow Abbott’s direct customer base and distributor networks in Caribbean territories.
• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, expanding market share profitably.
• Drive distributor sales teams to increase revenue on installed bases and ensure compliance with sales and margin plans.
• Conduct customer loyalty initiatives, resolve issues, and lead executive and operational business reviews.
• Monitor contract compliance, allocations, back‑orders, and order fulfillment for both direct and distributor customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry, preferably diagnostics or medical devices.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across Caribbean locations.
• Proven ability to sell complex solutions to senior‑level and C‑suite executives.

Required skills

• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and the broader Office suite.
• Experience with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.com.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
