About the role

This senior leadership position is responsible for shaping the strategic planning and commercial management of the brokerage unit. The role drives business development, financial product structuring, and sustainable, profitable growth of the client portfolio while ensuring regulatory compliance and a differentiated client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute commercial strategies aligned with growth and profitability targets.
• Lead and develop the commercial team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive client acquisition and retention through opportunity identification and strategic relationship building.
• Oversee distribution of financial products across all commercial channels.
• Ensure compliance with securities market regulations and internal policies.
• Participate in defining commercial structure, resource planning, and sales budgeting.
• Monitor performance indicators, commercial results, and productivity, implementing continuous improvement actions.
• Lead initiatives for new financial product development, implementation, and tracking.
• Coordinate with internal areas such as Marketing, Customer Experience, and Learning to enhance value proposition.
• Manage operational, regulatory, and compliance risks, including AML/CTF (PLAFT) guidelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Advanced degree (Specialization or Master’s) in Finance, Capital Markets, Economics, Business or MBA (preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial institutions.
• Proven experience leading commercial teams and driving business growth.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Dominican securities market and its regulatory framework.
• Experience in financial business development, portfolio management, and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, influence, and decision‑making abilities.
• Strategic thinking, results orientation, and adaptability to change.
