About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will join the Projects team at Barrick’s Pueblo Viejo operation. The role is responsible for coordinating both planned and unplanned maintenance activities for mobile mining equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and timely operation of assets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate planned and corrective maintenance tasks for mobile mine and auxiliary equipment, following manufacturer and internal procedures.
• Maintain high standards of order and cleanliness in all work areas to provide a safe environment.
• Participate in incident investigations, support corrective actions, and ensure their effective implementation.
• Review and approve time reports for field technical staff and contractor personnel, ensuring compliance with Dominican labor regulations.
• Create and close service orders for maintenance work, managing material requisitions and active control systems.
• Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports and support their career development.
• Contribute to the maintenance budget for assigned fleets, collaborating with group leaders and direct supervisors.
• Ensure first‑line training for technicians.

Required profile

• Qualified technician in diesel mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Technical proficiency in English.
• Minimum three years of first‑line supervisory experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
