OT Security Engineer

About the role

The OT Security Engineer is a mid‑level individual contributor responsible for embedding security into Carrier’s global operational technology (OT) landscape. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure that OT systems, platforms, and services are designed and operated securely.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage cybersecurity technologies and tools in OT environments.
• Lead solutioning efforts to secure compute resources, networks, handheld devices, data, and storage across manufacturing sites.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, physical security walk‑downs, and technical configuration reviews.
• Provide guidance on security principles for ICS, SCADA, DCS, and other OT systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for security implications in OT.
• Support global OT segmentation initiatives, including site‑level firewall deployment and policy governance.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert for OT security engineering in cross‑functional projects.
• Develop OT security risk mitigation strategies and support incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity.
• Proven experience with OT/ICS technology implementation, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Experience securing OT/ICS network architecture using the Purdue reference model.
