Janitor (Conserje)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Janitor to keep our office premises in Santo Domingo clean, orderly and safe. The role supports the daily operations of World Vision by maintaining hygiene standards across workspaces and common areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean floors, windows, workstations and common areas using sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and dusting techniques.
• Maintain order in shared spaces and ensure they remain tidy.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
• Regularly inspect common areas to guarantee cleanliness and health standards.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to staff and visitors.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year experience in a janitorial or similar role.
• Ability to read and write in Spanish or English.
• Familiarity with handling cleaning tools and chemicals.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, floor scrubber).
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and products.
