About the role

We are looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join the Sales team at Marsh in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This hybrid role combines office collaboration (minimum three days per week) with client‑facing activities, focusing on identifying new opportunities and delivering tailored risk‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a structured, consultative sales methodology to address complex prospect and client needs.
• Develop commercial proposals, presentations and RFP responses that clearly communicate solution value.
• Lead the full sales cycle for complex accounts—from prospecting and qualification to negotiation, pricing and closing.
• Conduct market and industry research to pinpoint expansion areas and prioritize commercial targets.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders and business leaders to ensure satisfaction, drive market penetration and promote cross‑selling.
• Represent Marsh at industry associations, conferences and events to expand the professional network and generate new opportunities, including cold‑calling.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of sales experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, corporate or consulting environments.
• Proven ability to open doors, build trust and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong results orientation, execution capability and analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• High level of business English.
