Frontend Engineer (GIS & Data Visualization)

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑to‑Senior Frontend Engineer who will design and deliver intuitive, scalable, data‑driven web applications focused on geospatial visualisation. You will turn complex operational and location‑based data into clear, interactive user experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance large‑scale interactive maps with layer controls, colour‑coding and manual overrides.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards that translate complex data into actionable UI.
• Implement WCAG 2.1 AA accessible frontend experiences and support accessibility testing.
• Work with geospatial and operational datasets to create responsive, map‑based user interfaces.
• Participate in beta feedback cycles, defect resolution, UI improvements and application hardening.
• Collaborate with the delivery team through documented designs, code reviews, Git‑based workflows and ticketed development processes.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve efficiency and code quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong written and spoken English and ability to maintain at least 4 hours overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
• Experience working in structured delivery environments with documented designs and ticket‑based workflows.
