Clinical & Medical AI Expert

About the role

As a Clinical & Medical AI Expert you will join TELUS Digital’s AI Community to ensure that artificial intelligence systems used in healthcare deliver medically accurate results. You will work as an independent contractor, reviewing and improving model outputs that support diagnostics, pharmacology and patient‑care logic.

Key responsibilities

• Audit AI “chain‑of‑thought” reasoning for clinical diagnostics and verify compliance with standards such as ICD‑11 and DSM‑5.
• Validate drug‑interaction, dosage and contraindication recommendations against peer‑reviewed literature.
• Label complex biomedical data sets—including MRI/CT images, pathology reports and genomic data—to enhance visual‑spatial reasoning in models.
• Identify and mitigate “medical hallucinations” to protect patient safety and create robust safety guardrails.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medicine (MD/MBBS), Pharmacy (PharmD), Nursing or Biomedical Sciences.
• Native‑level proficiency (C2+) in your primary language for accurate medical terminology.
• Minimum B1 (intermediate) English proficiency for research and reporting.
• Successful completion of a subject‑specific qualification exam and ID verification.
