About the role

The Control Room Technician for the cement plant is responsible for coordinating and monitoring production activities to ensure stable operations, material quality, and safety. The role works closely with the Production Manager to optimize resources, maintain equipment, and support sustainable production.

Key responsibilities

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to each task and keep the work area clean.
• Participate in anomaly analysis, corrective actions, improvements, and root‑cause investigations.
• Attend monthly results evaluation meetings and apply procedures from manuals and instructions.
• Hand over shift information, record incidents, and complete daily production and inventory reports.
• Inspect equipment before, during, and after use; provide status updates to maintenance staff.
• Operate and supervise industrial machinery, ensuring data is logged accurately in production control registers.
• Supervise teams, field personnel, and maintenance workers; conduct weekly safety talks.
• Monitor alarm panels, trends, and control systems at shift start; coordinate equipment start‑up and shutdown checklists.
• Resolve production issues promptly, requesting assistance if a problem cannot be solved within 30 minutes.

Required profile

• Experience in cement or similar industrial production environments.
• Ability to coordinate shift activities, supervise personnel, and communicate effectively with maintenance and field teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
• Attention to detail for equipment inspection, data recording, and reporting.
