Technician – Product Lifecycle Management

About the role

This position supports the full product lifecycle, from prototype assembly to production testing and continuous improvement. The technician conducts a variety of tests, analyses failures, and collaborates with design engineers to ensure product quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional and compliance tests (UL/CSA, 135%, 200%, hot‑box, humidity, temperature, electronic and remote) on production samples and prototypes.
• Identify abnormal conditions, determine root causes, and generate detailed test reports for design engineers.
• Assist in new product development, prototype assembly, repair, and dimensional analysis of parts.
• Support product improvement projects and resolve UL/CSA variation issues.
• Maintain product information systems, retrieve BOMs and DWGs, and enter thermal test data into databases.
• Provide on‑site support to manufacturing lines when requested by the design department.
• Handle daily FedEx shipments for the design team.
• Participate in EHS training, comply with 5S/MESH standards, and uphold safety policies.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or high‑school graduate in electronics, mechanical or electromechanical fields, or university student with at least 120 credits.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 1 year experience in design/quality or 2 years in manufacturing/operational support.
