Tech Lead – TypeScript, Node.js & React for PropTech

About the role

The Hands‑On Tech Lead is a full‑stack “unicorn” who leads technical execution by writing production‑grade code every day. You will own end‑to‑end features, build high‑performance TypeScript APIs, custom state‑machine back‑ends and the web experiences that connect them, while driving AI‑enhanced engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Guide development of end‑to‑end features for a lean team, balancing rapid shipping with long‑term code health.
• Write clean, production‑grade code across the full‑stack TypeScript ecosystem.
• Deploy custom agentic workflows, state‑machine logic and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Build guardrails, traceability frameworks and confidence algorithms to measure LLM output reliability.
• Transform ambiguous ideas into functional code quickly, prioritising execution over lengthy architecture meetings.
• Establish rigorous code‑review, testing discipline and guidelines for responsible use of AI coding assistants.

Required profile

• Expert‑level TypeScript proficiency, comfortable with advanced patterns such as generics and discriminated unions.
• Deep Node.js experience, preferably with Mastra or similar state‑machine‑driven backend logic.
• Strong modern web development skills; primary stack is SvelteKit, with React or Vue expertise welcomed.
• Proven track record of deploying practical LLM‑powered features and understanding token costs, evaluations and prompt safety.
• Daily use of next‑gen engineering assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) with disciplined debugging skills.
• Ability to work autonomously across the entire web stack without business‑logic blockers.
• Excellent English communication in an async‑first, highly autonomous environment.
