Senior Full Stack Software Developer

About the role

Outsourcing Advantage is seeking a senior full stack software developer to take ownership of an AI‑generated bookkeeping platform and drive it to production. This temporary remote role lasts about eight months and requires a self‑sufficient, solution‑oriented professional who can assess, troubleshoot, improve, and deliver a complex software product with minimal direction.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of an existing bookkeeping software platform.
• Analyze current system architecture, codebase, and business logic.
• Identify and resolve technical, functional, and financial data integrity issues.
• Design and implement scalable solutions to improve performance, reliability, and usability.
• Prioritize development tasks and drive projects independently.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure accounting workflows, calculations, reports, and outputs are accurate.
• Debug, refactor, optimize, and enhance the existing codebase.
• Create and maintain technical documentation as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation for software quality and data accuracy.
• Deliver the platform in a production‑ready state.

Required profile

• 6‑7+ years of professional full stack development experience.
• Proven track record of owning software projects from planning through deployment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping workflows.
• Experience inheriting, reviewing, and improving existing applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
