Medical Science Liaison – Caribbean & Central American Region

About the role

The leading multinational pharmaceutical company seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison to cover the Caribbean and Central American region. The MSL will act as a trusted scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, facilitating non‑promotional scientific exchange based on clinical evidence and real‑world data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong scientific relationships with KOLs, oncologists, hematologists, pulmonologists and other HCPs.
• Lead non‑promotional scientific exchange using clinical studies, guidelines and real‑world evidence.
• Support CME activities, scientific meetings and academic events.
• Identify and communicate clinical insights to Medical Affairs and Market Access.
• Assist research initiatives, scientific publications and case discussions.
• Provide scientific training to Medical Representatives across the region.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Market Access, Marketing and Sales.
• Build relationships with academic institutions, referral centers, hospitals, payers and decision‑makers.
• Collect and report adverse events and drug reactions per pharmacovigilance procedures.
• Travel extensively throughout the region as required.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree.
• Previous experience as an MSL or in Medical Affairs preferred.
• Experience in Oncology, Respiratory Diseases, Rheumatology or Rare Diseases valued.
• Strong understanding of scientific literature and clinical evidence.
• Knowledge of the hospital environment and Caribbean healthcare systems desirable.
