About the role
CACI is seeking a Maritime Field Service Representative to support maritime assessments and capability development with Dominican Republic (DOMREP) military and security partners. The FSR evaluates vessels, motors, trailers, communications, fuel systems, maintenance capabilities and supporting infrastructure to identify operational deficiencies and sustainment requirements. This is an assessment, advisory and execution-focused position, not solely a maintenance role, with up to 10% local travel.
Key responsibilities
- Assess boats, marine engines, trailers, communications, navigation and fuel systems, spare parts, tools, maintenance capabilities and support equipment.
- Document equipment condition, capability gaps, maintenance requirements and repair-versus-replacement recommendations.
- Research local vendors and compare costs for marine repair, engines, parts, fabrication, communications, transportation and fuel.
- Develop ROM estimates, bills of material, scopes of work, schedules, vendor comparisons and courses of action, considering U.S. versus local sourcing, shipping, customs and lead times.
- Provide vendor and procurement recommendations to the Government and support approved decisions through contracting, delivery, installation and fielding.
- Coordinate with DOMREP partners, U.S. Government personnel, SOUTHCOM stakeholders, contractors and local vendors.
- Maintain an advisory posture focused on sustainable host-nation capability, respecting U.S. and Dominican Republic military customs and protocols.
Required profile
- Demonstrated maritime experience with small boats, marine engines, maintenance, logistics or maritime operations.
- Experience conducting technical assessments and developing cost estimates, vendor comparisons, schedules and technical recommendations.
- Experience working with military, government, law enforcement, contractors or vendors.
- Ability to work independently overseas with strong written reporting and communication skills; Spanish at level 3 or higher.
- U.S. citizen with a valid tourist passport (at least six months remaining), able to travel throughout the Dominican Republic and obtain work authorization/visa.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Desired: U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Special Operations or maritime law enforcement experience; previous FSR, maintenance advisor, security cooperation, FMS/BPC, CBSI, counter-narcotics or SOUTHCOM experience; experience with foreign military partners in Latin America or the Caribbean; familiarity with PMO operations and international procurement, shipping and customs.
What we offer
- Proposed pay range of $73,800 to $155,100, depending on location, contract wage rates, experience and skills.
- Healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education and time-off benefits.
- A culture of integrity, a flexible time-off benefit and learning resources.
