Maintenance Technician – Level A

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Level A) to ensure the reliability and uptime of manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment upgrades while collaborating with engineering, quality and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and optical system maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, calibrate, adjust, test and maintain manufacturing equipment and components.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics, blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Use precision measurement tools and apply GD&T when inspecting or aligning components.
• Carry out equipment calibration, alignment, verification and functional testing per approved procedures.
• Implement equipment modifications, retrofits and upgrades as directed.
• Support PLC‑controlled equipment, sensors, actuators and basic automation during troubleshooting.
• Document findings, maintenance activities and contribute to root‑cause investigations.
• Apply lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement principles to eliminate waste and enhance performance.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, actuators and basic automation concepts.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
