Maintenance Manager – Luxury Boutique Resort

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the facilities operations of a luxury boutique resort in the Dominican Republic. This senior position oversees all technical systems across guest rooms, villas, condominiums, public areas, and core infrastructure, ensuring safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise maintenance activities covering electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and infrastructure systems.
• Design and implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programmes for the entire property.
• Coordinate regular property inspections, promptly address repairs, owner requests, and guest concerns.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, monitor variances, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Track energy, water, and utility consumption and drive sustainability initiatives.
• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and contractor performance for all maintenance services and supplies.
• Maintain department inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Lead, train, and develop a high‑performing maintenance team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or Director in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with villa or condominium maintenance is a plus.
• Proven budget management and cost‑control abilities.
• Fluent Spanish required.
• High school diploma; a degree or diploma in Hotel Management is an asset.
