About the role

The Resident Engineer for Road Works will oversee and coordinate the execution of road infrastructure and drainage system projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, and schedule standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the execution of road works and drainage systems.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of contractors, subcontractors, and on‑site personnel.
• Monitor physical progress and guarantee adherence to established timelines.
• Verify material quality and construction processes used on site.
• Manage allocated resources to optimize project performance.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and technical documentation.
• Identify risks and propose corrective actions to meet project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in project handover, closure, and delivery.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active member of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors (CODIA).
• Certified professional experience with proven work in road and drainage projects.
• Participation in at least five certified road or drainage construction/reconstruction projects.
• Ability to interpret plans, technical specifications, and contractual documents.

Required skills

• Knowledge of road construction processes, earthworks, drainage and related works.
• Proficiency in using computer tools for technical reporting.
