Human Resources Manager

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR activities for its Dominican Republic contact center. The role supports employees, supervisors, and senior management throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and alignment with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of HR professionals serving the location.
• Oversee and improve payroll processes in partnership with a third‑party vendor.
• Partner with management to resolve complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Conduct employment‑related investigations and support performance management, organizational change, and conduct matters.
• Review and update employee handbooks, SOPs, and ensure legal compliance.
• Lead new‑hire orientation, management training on HR policies, and annual compliance training.
• Represent TransPerfect at Ministry of Labor hearings, court proceedings, and other government agencies.
• Drive health and safety initiatives and manage workers’ compensation reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing HR functions in a contact‑center or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Dominican Republic labor legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead investigations, handle employee relations issues, and develop HR policies.
• Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement.
