High School/Middle School Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated teacher for high school and middle school classes at Colegio Bilingüe New Horizons. The successful candidate will plan, deliver and assess lessons while supporting students’ academic, behavioral and socio‑emotional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and share plans via email with the Head of Level and Academic Coordinator.
• Prepare and organize class materials and keep the classroom environment engaging.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date grade book, enter grades on time and design monthly assessments.
• Supervise playground duties and record daily attendance.
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department to support students with academic, behavioral or special‑needs issues.
• Participate in teacher meetings, institutional workshops, parent meetings and school activities.
• Encourage student participation in sub‑committees, fairs and community service projects.
• Communicate openly with students, parents and guardians, promoting attendance at school events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong organizational, planning and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Intermediate‑level Microsoft Office skills.
