About the role

As a Healthcare Software Engineer at BairesDev, you will design and build mission‑critical systems that process sensitive medical data with top‑level security and performance. You will work remotely with a global team of elite technologists, delivering solutions that integrate electronic health records and improve patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop secure, high‑performance platforms compliant with healthcare regulations.
• Create and maintain robust data pipelines for protected health information (PHI).
• Enable seamless data exchange between internal services and major EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth.
• Implement comprehensive audit trails and security protocols to guarantee data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex healthcare requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Optimize system interoperability using standards like HL7 and FHIR.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Proven track record building HIPAA‑compliant applications and handling PHI.
• Hands‑on experience with EHR integrations (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
• Deep knowledge of HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards.
• Strong background in audit logging and security protocols for medical data.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
