Full-Time Medical Spanish Interpreter (Remote, $5/hr)

About the role

Intelex is looking for a skilled Medical Interpreter fluent in Spanish and English (or French) to work 100% remotely. You will provide accurate, timely interpretation for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between Spanish and English (or French) for medical consultations.
• Maintain precise use of medical terminology and documentation.
• Handle both on‑demand (OPI/VRI) and scheduled interpreting sessions.
• Facilitate clear, culturally sensitive communication between patients and clinicians.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of professional interpreting experience (medical or legal sector).
• High level of listening, note‑taking, and memory retention.
• Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments.
• Professional, HIPAA‑compliant remote setup.

Required skills

• HIPAA‑compliant workstation.
• Wired USB headset with noise‑cancellation.
• Internet connection of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download.
