Excel Specialist (Remote Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to design and evaluate realistic business scenarios using Microsoft Office tools. This fully remote, contract‑based position focuses on creating, reviewing, and providing detailed feedback on AI‑generated documents to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate challenging business scenarios that require expert‑level use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in structured, multi‑turn conversations with a large language model, presenting complex prompts and assessing AI‑generated deliverables.
• Create and review Office documents (.xlsx.docx.pptx), comparing two AI solutions against professional standards.
• Document feedback and provide side‑by‑side preference data to guide AI model improvements.
• Contribute domain‑specific insight across multiple industries and business functions to ensure diverse, real‑world use cases.
• Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats to deliver precise, actionable feedback to the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional experience in Fortune 500 environments using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high‑impact projects.
• Proven ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across finance, healthcare, tech, consulting, or retail.
• Background in business roles such as private‑equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate nuanced differences in document quality and business relevance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience interacting with LLMs or writing long‑form AI prompts is a strong plus.
