About the role

The Captain of Waiters will coordinate the dining room service, acting as the daily reference for the waitstaff team. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Santo Domingo and focuses on delivering an efficient, orderly, and guest‑focused experience.

Key responsibilities

• Organise staff shifts and allocate sections to ensure smooth service.
• Supervise table set‑up, presentation of dishes and beverages, and adherence to company quality and protocol standards.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching.
• Resolve incidents and handle guest complaints promptly during service.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and management to continuously improve the overall guest experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a captain, head waiter, or similar role in restaurant, hospitality or events.
• Strong leadership, team motivation and shift‑planning abilities.
• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to manage complaints.
• Knowledge of table protocol, food‑and‑beverage service, and hygiene and safety standards.
• Effective communication, teamwork and coordination with kitchen and other departments.
• Problem‑solving skills and quick decision‑making under pressure.
• Availability for full‑time, on‑site work in Santo Domingo, including rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
