About the role

The Goods Reception Assistant is responsible for receiving, verifying, recording and organizing incoming merchandise at our Santo Domingo facility. The role ensures that quantities, conditions, documentation and product specifications match purchase orders and comply with company quality, safety and inventory control procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive merchandise from suppliers, distribution centers and carriers.
• Verify quantities, references, codes, lot numbers, expiration dates, weights and physical condition of received products.
• Cross‑check received items against purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes and other relevant documents.
• Record merchandise entries promptly in the inventory system and related formats.
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages or expired products.
• Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, transport and warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues.
• Assist in unloading, sorting, counting, labeling and temporary placement of goods.
• Ensure proper handling according to product characteristics, storage requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain organized physical and digital reception records.
• Support inventory updates, cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
• Keep the receiving area clean, orderly and free of obstacles.
• Follow operational procedures, occupational safety rules and quality standards.
• Perform other warehouse and logistics tasks as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in merchandise reception, warehouse, inventory or logistics.
• Familiarity with receiving, dispatch, storage and inventory control processes.
• Experience reviewing invoices, purchase orders and transport documents.
• Ability to work in a team, follow instructions and meet operational deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, orderliness and internal service orientation.
• Physical ability to handle merchandise and work rotating shifts.
• Availability to work in Santo Domingo, Autopista Duarte.

Required skills

• Basic use of inventory management systems.
• Operation of data capture devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
