About the role

The Shift Assistant works closely with the Station Manager to ensure the efficient and safe operation of a fuel service station. The role combines operational oversight, inventory control, customer service, and compliance with safety and HACCP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor operational controls according to the Station Safety and Operations Manual.
• Promote HSE programs and conduct training drills with all staff.
• Manage fuel and lubricant inventories, monitor sales trends, and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Oversee fuel deliveries, ensuring correct tank loading and preventing overfills or contamination.
• Supervise cash handling, reconciliation with service representatives, and financial reporting.
• Maintain the operational condition of all equipment, machinery, and facilities during the shift.
• Record purchases, audit sales, and control inventory accuracy.
• Report and coordinate repairs, supervising external contractors as needed.
• Handle customer complaints and suggestions promptly.
• Participate in recruitment, staff administration, and performance evaluation.
• Support HACCP compliance in the store, participate in audits, and ensure corrective actions are executed.

Required profile

• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Experience in managing fuel station operations or similar retail environments.
• Capability to supervise staff and external contractors.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and management.
• Attention to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
