Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist to become the engine of our cash‑flow management. In this permanent position you will oversee the full cycle of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring vendors are paid on time and customer payments are collected efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Invoice Management: review, verify and process vendor invoices for accuracy.
• Coding & Entry: assign expenses to the correct general‑ledger accounts.
• Payment Runs: schedule and execute weekly checks, ACH transfers and wire payments.
• Vendor Relations: maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Billing: generate and send accurate customer invoices and credit memos.
• Collections: monitor aging reports and proactively contact customers with overdue balances.
• Cash Application: post daily deposits (checks, wires, credit cards) to appropriate customer accounts.
• Dispute Resolution: collaborate with sales to investigate and resolve billing issues.
• Reconciliations: perform monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Month‑End Close: assist with closing procedures and accruals.
• Audit Support: provide documentation for annual audits or tax filings.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of high‑volume AP/AR or general accounting experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and data integrity.
• Professional communication skills for internal and external interactions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage or SAP.
